"Even among the gods, Ireleth is an imposing figure. In all Her forms She exudes incredible power, and when she speaks her voice booms like thunder. She commands on the Eternal Battlefield, where all who die a warriors death are welcomed to eternal battle, and an eternal revelry." ~ Sara Stormsinger, Third High Commander of the Averheim army, and Storm Cleric of Ireleth.   Ireleth's greatest love is war. Upon the Eternal Battlefield she is always practicing, perfecting, and honing new skills, tactics, and strategies. She will often reward mortals who develop theories of war that She has not thought of herself. As well rewarding mortals who display great courage, skill, or brilliance on the field of battle. As such actions please Her greatly.   For Ireleth, war is the most accurate and perfect measure of the quality of a living being. War requires intelligence, ingenuity, courage, physical prowess, and perseverance. No other endeavor is so universally demanding or so incredibly vital to the balance of power. It is important to note that skill in making war is about much more than just killing. Intellectual and psychological aspects are equally, if not more, important to skilled warfare as the physical elements. Finally, Ireleth is not a lover of death. Death is a sad but necessary consequence of war, and those who wage war properly do not create unnecessary death or destruction. Many a general and warrior has been struck down in the heat of battle by a blade or arrow guided by Ireleth for bringing necessary suffering to a conflict.   Another of Ireleth's great loves is storms, particularly thunderstorms. It is here Ireleth works with her close friend Garrow, to create incredible and shocking displays of weather. Often times the two deities will have a competition to see who can dream up the more spectacular storm. Much to the dismay of the mortals of the Prime Material plane. (Usually directly proportional to how much fun the storms are for Ireleth and Gorgrim.) Such contests occasionally catch the ire of Kirana, who claims that the cloud cover of the storms blocks her light from nurturing the mortals below. But even she admits that the storms conjured by the two deities are a sight to behold, and her complaints are cursory at best.   Ireleth presides as the Grand General of the Eternal Battlefield. A plane of constant and glorious battle during the day, followed by uproarious revelry and music as night falls. Where tales of heroism flow as heavily as the food and drink. The Eternal Battlefield is a place where all those who die a glorious death in battle hope to be sent. Where they can continue to hone the skills they acquired in life and continue to fight until the end of days. Or they are lifted into the High Heavens to join Kirana as one of her Angels or Solars. Although Ireleth asks a steep price for taking one of her warriors, the radiance that Kirana brings to the Eternal Battlefield always serves as a reminder to Ireleth of Kirana's power.   Followers of Tempest exult in honing their skills in waging war. These include their personal hand to hand combat abilities, leadership skills, knowledge of strategy and tactics, and proficiency with weapons and armor of very diverse varieties. They respect combat, and do not engage in it frivolously. They respect life, and never seek to cause more death or destruction than is necessary to achieve political or military goals. They also tend to be very loyal- as loyalty is crucial to any military war machine. Further, they demand incredible loyalty from their own minions and followers. Followers of Tempest have been known to be incredibly zealous in all matters involving religion and war.
