Checha

The Checha (or Chechansulu) people live in the southernmost point of Vandrius. They are a unification of four separate regions, the people of the Mountain, the people of the River, the people of the Shore, and the people of the Hills. Each region is overseen by two chieftains, or Tuqas. One oversees the military, and one oversees religion. These 8 tuqas form a parliament that advises the Checha, or high Tuqa.
The Checha people are vegetarian, and forbid the hunting of animals, but raise llamas for milk and wool.
Chechan priests are closely attuned to the element of earth and can animate and manipulate stone and rock. Many ceremonial outfits involve the use of elaborate gemstone designs.
Checha is about 50% Human and 50% inhabited by Aven who reside in the mountains of this region. In recent years, an elaborate cave system has been uncovered, and crystalline Oreads have emerged from the earth to live among the people, bringing strange magics to bear on the invading Tlaxcans .
