The Worst of the Vampires

These beasts are not like the rest of what we hunt. They are different. Hungrier. More bloodthirsty. Willing to kill and slaughter any and all who lay in their path simply for the fun of it. They are like the gallûs of Kur and we should learn to treat them with caution.

An all encompassing title issued by hunters for the worst-of-the-worst for the vampires that they hunt. When Neruĝal and Alkina began their fight against the vampiric population, they believed that all vampires were bloodthirsty monsters that needed to be slain given their own personal experiences with them. However, as time went on and the clans grew and moved, following civilization as it expanded in an attempt to keep safe all who were unaware of what stalked the night, the hunters came to learn that there was a difference in the vampires that hunted the mortals. Despite early attempts to categorize the vampires settings a great deal of them beneath this title, over the long years the clans have shortened the list and removed many names as vampires once believed to belong on it were determined to not.

It takes not simply being a killer to be elevated to the ranks of the Gallas now but being an unrepentant killer. A vampire must kill indescriminantly, in a similar manner to the modern term of serial killer. They must court death and love it in a way that other vampires do not. The kill itself is what they enjoy, not merely the blood, but the satisfaction of taking a life with their hands and fangs.

A vampire can also be added to the ranks of the Gallus if they are also deemed dangerous enough because they have killed multiple hunters. Darragh Ó Conaill accomplished being added to the list of Gallus essentially twice because he so enjoyed killing and killed multiple hunters who pursued him despite his young age at the time.
