Emma is served by her Retainer, a young woman named Grace Dewitt. Though Grace is set to marry one Charles d'Airaines later this year, and so will no longer be traveling with Emma. Grace's place as Emma's Retainer is taken by Gaston, but her place in Emma's cold, dead heart is unchanged.
Emma has gathered around her a small group, often called her Herd, whom willingly give her their blood for the benefits of her patronage and company. As the Herd has gotten healthier, as they were sickly and weak to begin with, Emma's feeding from them has gotten more frequent, but stayed small tastes.
Family Ties
Emma's family is not of the Night and its Danse. The children she had while mortal are growing up strong in Iceland, cared for by her younger sister.
Emma's Clan and Blood families are largely unknown to her, as Omarosa is unwilling as yet to discuss them.

Emma is a Protestant, a Lutheran to be precise. She's not overt in her displays of religion, given how dangerous that is these days, and keeps her practices private but not necessarily hidden.

Emma arrived in Alethia's swampy demesne on the Isle of Man in December 1551, and trained with her through to the next November, in 1552. Alethia and Emma pushed each other to be better fighters, both of them swordswomen of considerable skill to begin with.
