Ecstatic Bite

Also known as the kiss, a vampire's bite can be a highly pleasurable experience so long as certain conditions are met. Indeed, some compare the experience to sexual climax or the euphoria received from a potent narcotic. To experience the kiss, the victim must give a degree of consent to the feeding, and the vampire must drink no more than a single Blood Trait within a 60-second timeframe (10 Rounds). If the vampire drinks too quickly or the victim denies or relinquishes their consent, the end result is intense pain for the victim. The pain is so great that every Blood Trait drained equals one level of aggravated damage suffered by the victim.

Cost: N/A

Range: The vampire must be able to clamp their mouth on to their victim's body and pierce their skin with their fangs to use this power.

Special 1: A Vampire can weaponize their bite to drink quickly (up to 3 Blood Traits in a turn) and thus inflict up to 3 levels of Aggravated damage with a successful bite attack.

Special 2: Mortals and Animals who experience the pleasure of an Ecstatic Bite can become addicted to the sensation. Roll the Victim's Wits + Survival (Difficulty = the Victim's to Entrance rating).

Roll: N/A. The Ecstatic Bite works only if the biting vampire secures their victim's permission. That permission can be granted through roleplaying (no roll required) or it can be secured through seduction techniques (Roll: Manipulation + Seduction; difficulty = the Target's to Enchant rating), persuasion techniques (Roll: Charisma + Persuasion; difficulty = the Target's to Dominate rating) or leadership techniques (Roll: Manipulation + Leadership; difficulty = the Target's to Dominate rating). If used to cause damage via a bite attack (Roll Dexterity + Brawl; difficulty = the Target's to Hit rating).

Base Difficulty: N/A

Damage: 1 Aggravated Damage per blood trait taken without the victim's willing consent.

Prerequisites: N/A. This power is natural to most vampires.

Threat Level: High

Use of this power is considered a high threat to Article 5 of the United Earth Federation charter that bans the use of magic and other super-human skills deemed deviant to reality. High-threat-level powers exhibit obvious signs of their use and can be detected by:

  • The hyper aware (Roll Perception + Awareness; Difficulty = 5).

  • Characters who have studied Lore or Occult subjects (Roll Intelligence + Lore / Occult; Difficulty = 5).

  • Researchers deploying hyper technology that can detect numinous anomalies (Roll Wits + Hypertech; Difficulty = 5).

Characters that the UEF suspect of using high-threat-level powers and abilities are frequently hunted down by the UEF Space Marines and charged with reality deviance. Such vampires are frequently put to death if found guilty of simply using their powers in public.
