Green Sea

This sea is largely unremarkable, being named due to an abundance of algae and plankton tinting these water slightly greener (though they remain mostly blue). Due to the abundance of plankton and algae, large populations of whales can be found in these waters. With the discovery of Esperite within the mountains of Kathanika, this sea has become strategically important for the purposes of exporting the gemstone. The Arbethian Kingdom maintains control of this sea, and exacts a tariff on all Esperite shipped through their waters, which has made the smuggling of Esperite through these waters a lucrative activity. It is believed that the Thieves Guild has played a large part in the growing smuggling endeavors.
