Valine

Magic is a nutural force in the world, accessed and channeled by different methods (known as arcane and divine magic, although all magic comes from the same source).   The Lesser Deities and Demigods directly interact with the world on a regular basis. Greater Deities are not supposed to interact directly, but many still do make appearances in defiance of the decrees of Gama, the God who created Valine.   Natural forces can spawn elemental creatures with varying degrees of intelligence and self-awareness.   Different pockets of reality overlay parts of Valine. They occupy the same physical space but are slightly out of tune, creating a different perception of the environment in which other forces, beings and natural laws exist. At certain times and places these pockets intersect with the prime material world or can be manipulated to do so.   The universe is slowly expanding beyond the control of its creator. The true reason for the relative absence of Gama and Eruer from Valine itself is that she is struggling to maintain control of a creation that is spiraling far beyond even her ability to manage on a true cosmic scale.
