Upreye

Since declaring independence from the Crown of Vruchainad in 946, Upreye has been an independent Principality. It is bordered on the south by the Kingdom of Krebriteron, on the south by the Kingdom of Vruchainad, on the north by the Kingdom of Aedrucuthage, and on the east by the Gamrior Sea. Palliniki is the capital of the country. The Crown Prince of Upreye, which is now vacant, the Generality of Upreye, and the city councils are the three levels of government. The Upriot Assembly, the Upriot Government, and the Court of Appeal are the three elected powers that make up the Generality of Upreye. The Constitution of Upreye is its supreme law.

History

The Principality of Upreye, formerly known as Upreye County, was founded on Mimue 25th, 945, when the cities of Málavedra, Logronca, and Bulva were founded simultaneously, as well as the incorporation of Códorm and Marua, which were previously part of the Kingdom of Vruchainad. Together with the Kingdom of Vruchainad and the Kingdom of Aedrucuthage, it constituted the Crown of Vruchainad as a county. The proclamation of independence from the Crown of Vruchainad on Masus the 13th, 946, signed by President Jacint Maspoch, resulted from many disagreements amongst the three counties, as well as the failings of Vruchainad governance.   War broke out promptly in the northern border after the Captain of the Kingdom of Aedrucuthage threatened them. The Aedrucuthaiote army was defeated outside the walls of Castedura in the Kingdom of Aedrucuthage on Masus 15th, 946, and the Upriot Army occupied the iron mines north of Castedura, within the Kingdom of Aedrucuthage's borders, and advanced north to Málavedra on Masus the 16th. The mine changed hands twice until the two forces met again in Seno on the 11th, with the Upriot Army winning again and retreating to Málavedra. The results of the elections in the Principality of Upreye five days later were a clear affirmation of the citizens' support for their government.   Despite the fact that the Principality of Upreye offered a peace treaty and that negotiations between the two Dukes were on their way that night, the Duke of the Kingdom of Aedrucuthage had already dispatched two troops to Málavedra. The Captain of Aedrucuthage pretended they were only recapturing the mine, but the Upriot Armies were on high alert, and the conflict was the largest battle between the Kingdoms ever known. On the 18th of Seno, Málavedra(organization)'s walls were breached but two Aedrucuthaiote armies were beaten in the open field, with more than fifteen Aedrucuthaiote soldiers killed or injured out of seventy, compared to two Upriot soldiers killed out of forty.   The Kingdom of Aedrucuthage then stationed one army outside Castedura's gates and another in a mine north of Castedura. Peace agreements were drafted over the course of ten days, but the Principality decided to call off the peace talks on Seno the 29th and launch a strike on the 30th due to Aedrucuthage's continued lack of response and the recruitment of fresh soldiers to the Aedrucuthaiote armies. Despite its fortunate position and high prestige, the Aedrucuthaiote Army was defeated and displaced once more, with 15 deaths and 8 severely hurt, compared to 5 injured in the Upriot Army, who took control of the mine.   The Crown of Vruchainad, the Kingdom of Aedrucuthage, and the Principality of Upreye signed the Treaty of Áscal in the border town of Áscal on Wees the 3rd, recognizing the Principality's independence and declaring the war with Aedrucuthage to be over.   Upreye has remained unusually tranquil for the past 54 years, following a bloody and nasty start.

Be just and vigilant.
