Osborn retired after his wife, a human cleric was killed by a dire bear while they adventured together, exploring some of the ruins of Cerulea. With his son, Gustav, he settled in the hamlet of Todmorden and is raising his son to be a farmer, hoping that Gustav will stay away from the dangers of the adventuring life.

Previously married to a cleric of Hunia, Osborn pays particular homage to that god in her memory.

Osborn is rather secretive, and abrupt with strangers. He is suspicious of those who approach him about arcane matters, not wishing to become sought out for magical solutions to other people's problems. Until recently, he had concealed his arcane powers even from his neighbors in Todmorden, but the incident with his son Gustav being transformed into a giant toad in a magical accident revealed his status as a wizard. Since then he has grudgingly agreed to assist his neighbors in small tasks by magical means.
Hobbies & Pets
Despite being retired, Osborn continues to casually research arcane matters. His current focus had been on polymorphing but after Gustav came upon some of his research and accidentally polymorphed himself into a giant toad, Osborn has abandoned that line of study. Fortunately, with the aid of the Cerulean Exploration Society, Osborn was able to recover his son and reverse the transformation.
