Myal was always quite sickly, but developed skills as a hunter in order to make herself useful to the tribe. Her determination caught the attention of Kru who found her ability to move past her tendency to tire and get ill.

Fond of food to the point of gluttony, Myal was, for a dragonborn of the era, quite overweight.

Personal history
Myal was Kru's mate. An able hunter herself, she was eager to become the wife of the chief and helped Kru in any way she could to make it happen. When Kru's actions as Chieftain went badly for the tribe, his ritual in pursuit of flight mutating the green dragonborn and causing devastation to the tribe, Myal was the first to turn on her mate, recognizing that her own life depended on distancing her actions in support of his folly from the tragic events. It bought her very little time, as her mutations killed her barely a year after the ritual took place.

Myal was irresponsible and easily excited, ready to go after any idea Kru suggested with abandon, and rarely thinking it through. She was extremely gullible and easily distracted.
