King Munak

King Munak was ruler of the gith back when they were a single species. His pursuit of immortality led to him making a deal with Bulir the Envious in which he sold his entire race into slavery by the Demon Lord for thirty generations in exchange for eternal life. However, the deal he created lacked specificity and, although he received immortality, he did not receive either eternal youth or exemption from his species' enslavement. Indeed, he did not even realize that along with his immortality came perpetual imprisonment. He witnessed all six hundred years of his species' suffering and remains to this day hung around the neck of Bulir the Envious in a small cage - withered, broken and utterly insane. Perhaps no individual in Valinian history has suffered as Munak did, and does to this day.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Munak is a withered, broken individual. Though granted immortality, he was not granted youth and he has lived in perpetual imprisonment, tethered around the neck of Bulir the Envious for over 750 years, his body continuing to age centuries past the point at which a gith should have died.

Mental characteristics

Failures & Embarrassments

Munak's life may represent the greatest individual failure in Valinian history. Not only did it lead to a centuries long life of perpetual pain and imprisonment, his actions also led to the destruction, or at least the inalterable split of his entire species through thirty generations of enslavement.

Mental Trauma

Munak has long since been driven completely insane as a result of age and trauma due to his foolish deal with Bulir the Envious.
