Diamond Vale
The Diamond Vale is the most straightforward approach to, and the beginning to the easiest ascent of Mount Clarenfil. It gets its name from the shimmering snow formations that flank the sides of the vale rather than from any real diamonds to be mined in the area, although that has not stopped people from trying to find veins of diamond in the surrounding mountains.
