Stalux Cathedral

Stalux was a man of extreme wealth the was brought low by an adventuring cleric he had tried to purchase service from, the gross kind.  Normally a rebuke would not have driven a man to build such a large building as penance, however it's the exchange with this young cleric riled the fury of Serenrae upon him working a mighty change in Stalux.  He was convinced the face in Vanadis Peak was none other than Serenrae herself and that building a mighty Cathedral to her honor would appease her.  Fewmon sprang up around the foundations of this mighty building mainly in support of it's construction but also people were finding it as the last safe haven before the wilds South of this valley.
The Cathedral was put on hold while the 1st Galmere War raged and more focus was directed towards it's front than toward religious worship.  Stalux was the first to be buried in it's graveyard.  He saw it's completion just two before his death his last word were inscribed on the alcove of Serenrae, "Dry thy tears sweet mother and bask us in thy light".  The Cleric became it's first matron and she also started an orphanage for those children that escaped the war by traveling this far south.
The site and the rest of the village were ruined some 12 years prior.  Though the interior is burned out the stone exterior remains mostly intact if not unkempt, overgrown with vines and foliage. The site is still hallowed and is occasionally a refuge for those wandering these parts.
