Meerie Mushrooms

The tiny mushroom offshoots which grow upon the Meeriefolk, a tiny race of feyfolk who live in forest undergrowth. These magically active flora improve the effectiveness of any potion to which they are added. Harvesting them does not harm the Meerie from which they are taken, but they are still extremely scarce as the Meeriefolk rarely give them willingly, and they are extremely hard to catch when they are unwilling.
