Diotham

An unassuming looking waterweed which, when dried into a powder and consumed, induces a powerful and often irresistible desire to sleep. The recipient is placed in a normal sleeping state (breathing, dreaming, etc) for a length of time dependent upon the dose given and the strength of the individual's constitution (a healthier, stronger person will wake sooner). The larger the dose the less chance the recipient will either resist the need to sleep or awaken prematurely, but the higher the chance that fatal slowing of the heartbeat may occur.
