Session 3 Recap - Remnants
General Summary
Last Time on Dragonball Z...
As the team arrives in the outskirts of Mavella, they find themselves in the slums at the edge of the city. Here, they see the squalor that the less well-off citizens have bee n living in. They help people in the area, creating food and water, spending a bit of coin on their wares, and speaking to the populus. Elsie finds a young girl walking while reading a book, the History of the Karavala Supremacy: a book detailing the history of the war and conquest perpetrated by Mariposa's son, Myrthos, where he (aided by the Fallen), attempted to conquer all of the continent of Gleyari. This resulted in the desecration of the Sacred Forests of Nimloth, the destruction of dozens of cities, and the ultimate death of Myrthos, Óðr, Sunscourge aka Gil, Hermod, The Fatebreaker, Toshinori Yagi, Seventh Oracle of Peace, and several other Immortals at the Battle of Sunfall. As they continued through the slums, they found themselves targeted by a gang of bandits who wanted to steal their gold and send them running. As the skirmish played out, Sirius was nearly killed by one of the bandits, and Gil reflexively surged through the Staff, accidentally turning the bandit into an Ancient Topaz Dragon. As an enormous wave of Aether washed over the city with the casting of a 9th level spell through the Staff, the team panicked. Eldric, thinking quickly, grabbed the staff from Sirius to attempt to use the intense flames to defeat the dragon as the rest of the group used every power in their disposal to try and keep him alive. As he barely held on, thanks to a slight boon from the Goddess of Death, they watched as an enormous bolt of lightning crashed down upon the dragon, killing it, as Djin Aster, The Oracle of the Heavens descended from the heavens. They were pulled through shadow away from the dragon, as King Kallus Aulani, Sixth Oracle of Shadows and Steward of the North appeared next to them to try and protect them from the beast. After ensuring that everyone was okay (and providing new clothes to Eldric and Elsie), the Kings of Apollyon summoned the group to the Bright Castle in order to find out what happened, and who exactly this ragtag group of adventurers is.
