Penelope Rose, The Final Oracle of Peace and God of Love

Molina Montarelli, Eighth Oracle of Peace, defeats Sif, The Abysswalker after an attack on the village of Atheross. In the ruins, she discovers a small child hiding near the corpses of a harengon man and an elven woman: Penelope. Feeling responsible, Molina brought the child back to Newbiggin in order to attempt to find Penelope's surviving family. However, on the third day of her search, they discovered Penelope asleep, cuddled up with the Holy Avenger, which had been sealed in the shrine to the previous Oracles of Peace. At that moment, she decided to train Penelope as her successor. She, Threaven Wranris, and Yarmin Smalltooth raised her and taught her the ways of the Oracles.
When Penelope turned 15, she and Molina left Newbiggin to train near Graena, so Penelope could focus without the distractions that caused her timid nature to show. During the next six years, Penelope grew to truly be a hero through her mentors training: saving babies, capturing villains, and keeping people safe. They occaisonally returned to Newbiggin for the odd meeting or mission, but remained mostly around the Fourth Sister.
When Penelope was 21, Molina believed her training complete. They undertook the Ritual of Oracular Succession, and Penelope became the Ninth Oracle of Peace. That night, Threaven came to her with news of Sif attacking another village in Brecht. The next morning, she told Penelope that she would be taking the Holy Avenger, meant for Penelope, and going to confront Sif, as she didn't believe that the fledgeling Oracle was ready. Out of fear that Molina would perish due to her lack of power, that night Penelope left with nothing but her clothing and the Holy Avenger, to prove that she was capable and ready. She confronted the Goddess of War, and was ultimately defeated, living only because Sif deemed her "unworthy." After escaping, she ran. That was 25 years ago. The conflict she's left to handle now seems like child's play in the scope of everything else she's faced and conquered. Her timid nature still prevails occasionally, but she tries her best to put on a strong face, at least while in "uniform."
In the years betwixt, Penelope has run into many people she knew during her time in Newbiggin, making her feel even worse about how she left things with Molina. She is horrified of going back to visit, mainly because she's scared she isn't there anymore. After seeing Molina at a Ceremony of Solstice, Penelope avoided all forms of pomp and circumstance. That didn't stop her from helping people and spreading hope as the Oracle of Peace. During the last five years, Penelope fought alongside Kaleo Aulani and Djin Aster, The Oracles of the Dark and the Heavens to overthrow the oppressive Mad King Dwendal in Ljustad, the capital of Apollyon. After taking the throne and renaming the capital to Mavella of New Apollyon, the new King and Consort paid you a considerable amount as you departed to find more people to help.

Gaining her powers as she watched her mentor sacrifice himself in the battle of Sunfall, she seeks to bring peace to the world. Spending much of her life dispelling the remnants of the Karavala Sovereignty from Brecht and Gleyari, she vowed that she will not let another dictator take power on Valakadyn. Has a huge grudge against Salas Karavala, son of the man who killed her predecessor. Threaven Wranris, The Oracle of Life - hadozee man, leader of the entire Grand Reserve and the only remaining original Oracle, he raised and trained you alongside Molina until the age of 15. Over 2400 years old, he is very wise and incredibly adept at fucking with people. He nurtured and encouraged your trickery and creativity, as well as your passion for people. He spends most of his day walking the streets of Newbiggin talking to people and helping wherever he can. His knowledge is second only to the Oracle of Lore. Yarmin Smalltooth, Second Oracle of Lore - loxodon man, wielder of the Greaves of Vaka, second in command of the Grand Reserve and leader of the Gleyari branch based in Newbiggin, he raised and trained you alongside Molina until the age of 15. The master of all knowledge, he made sure to encourage your curiosity any way he could. Spending a lot of time in The Osmium Tower experimenting, he would always let you watch and answer your endless questions about anything and everything. Protectors of Gleyari and Newbiggin, you grew up around some of them, training with them, and playing practical jokes on them i'm sure. You've seen all of them in the last 25 years for sure during missions or just by coincidence. Amos, Half-elf Bard, M, 35 - red haired man with a tight iron man beard, he never goes anywhere without his guitar. He joined after your time in Newbiggin. Gideon Blackwall, Human Paladin, M, 47 - fair skinned with dark brown hair and a fanciful beard, his armor always glints in the light. You grew up together as he was also orphaned at a young age and raised by the Grand Reserve. Glaive, Bearfolk Barbarian, F, 43 - a 9ft tall sunbear woman who would always let you ride on her shoulders around the Archive, she joined as soon as she turned 18, the year before you came to Newbiggin. Meron, Minotaur Artificer, M, 65 - short for a minotaur at only 5ft, Meron is an incredible clothier who created your armor and clothes the entire Grand Reserve. In training and living in Newbiggin at the head of the Grand Reserve, you would have met most of the current Oracles and world leaders by the time you became the Oracle of Peace. Djin Aster, Second Oracle of the Heavens - Leonin man with striking a striking red mane and golden cloud tattoos along the left side of his body - King Consort of New Apollyon and Leader of the Apollyonic Grand Reserve. You fought alongside him during the Apollyonic Civil War that ended just over a year ago. Calm and courteous, he is quite the party when you get him drinking. King Kaleo Aulani, Sixth Oracle of the Dark - Canine man with dark brown fur, braided black hair, and inky black tentacle tattoos on the right side of his body - Ruler of New Apollyon. He defeated the Mad King Bertrand Dwendal in the final battle of the war using the power of the Crown of Vaka with you and his husband alongside him. Kind but fierce, he has only grown more somber as the years have gone on. Haika Windfeather, Eleventh Oracle of the Wind - Aarakocra man (Phillipine Eagle) - Defacto leader of Aetheria and it's Grand Reserve after his father's death five years ago, he exudes "go with the flow" energy. Acquaintance at best. Halcyon and Libara Starseeker, The Ninteenth Oracles of the Sun and Moons repectively - Grey Foxgard woman and Aasimar woman - Rulers of the Kingdom of Adar, they have led the land to great prosperity during their reign over the last 100 years. Fair but cold. You met them at a Ceremony of Solstice while training with Molina and the other Oracles. Leonidas Silverhand, The Oracle of Nature - Wood elf man with dark brown dreaded hair and intricate wood bark armor - Leader of Brecht, you've met him quite a few times as he is good friends with Molina after they nearly died together at the battle of Sunfall. He would always make flowers for you whenever he would see you. Possibly the nicest of all the world leaders, Nimloth is truly in good hands under his leadership. (also i promise this isn't like a red flag, he's just a sweet cinnamon roll.) Naran Landau, The Oracle of Flame - Phoenix Aarakocra Man with fire for hair, a mohawk. His tattoos glow a slight gold over the fiery red of his plumage on the right side of his body - Cocky but effective, Naran is one of the fastest people in all of Valakadyn thanks to the heat of his flames propelling him forward. You've met him a dozen or so times and haven't enjoyed a single minute of it. Think Bakugo mixed with Wally West. Thunder, Seventh Oracle of the Ancestors - Zebra man with beaded braids and a light robes that seems to shift color. Purple runic skull and bone tattoos cover the left side of his body - you feel a grim but comforting presence emenating from him at all times. he speaks with hushed tones, and secretly always has cookies in his bag that he gives to people he likes. They're delicious. Ragnar Darkshield, The Oracle of Bones - you've only ever seen him in full plate armor - he's edgy as hell. you don't know much about him, other than the fact that he rides an ethereal horse and has a sword made of sunlight. you tried to ask him about the sword but he said it was only for his mortal enemy and then went to brood in the corner. he saved your ass a few years ago after you got caught out in Shostead. Xanaphia Stormwind, Twelfth Oracle of the Waves - half-elf woman with blue hair and silver rusted armor - you met her briefly at a ceremony in Aetheria while it was over Divellia. After it ended, you watched her jump off the side of the flying city straight into the ocean, creating a huge wave that the surfers went crazy for. The city was nearly a half mile above the sea. Bresari Xeadas, Third Oracle of Frost - Mousefolk with a short white tuft of hair and ice crystals forming intricate shapes along the right side of their body - Loud and alcoholic, they are the opposite of "chilled." The life of whatever party they happen to be at, they always end up creating snow in whatever room they fall asleep in. Super suave and charismatic, they're a total whore. Met you a couple of times after your Succession and flirted with you and everyone around you relentlessly. Essek Theylss, Fifth Oracle of Gravity - drow man with stark white hair and an undercut, light itself seems to bend around to form shapes on the left side of his body - Kind and meek, he leads the Karavala Grand Reserve, usually in stark opposition to the ruler of the Karavala Sovereignty, Salas Karavala. He offered to show you around the capital of Khomartum if you're ever in town. There are several other Oracles that you have not met due to various circumstances, but you would have heard of: Oglax Stoneslab, Fifth Oracle of Stone - dwarven man with a thick beard, perpetually covered in soot - never leaves Kaz'ad and you've had no reason to go there. Ergeaux Lyon, The Oracle of Illusion - Harengon man with mottled fur - the original oracle of illusion, he died during the Sundering. No other Oracle of Illusion has ever appeared in the world as a result of the unknown circumstances of his death. Karnatis Seradz, The Oracle of Time - Kalashtar man with purple robes and amber yellow clockwork tattoos on his left side - the original oracle of time, he died during the Sundering. No other Oracle of Time has ever appeared in the world as a result of the unknown circumstances of his death. Thiastra, The Oracle of Wood - Green dragonborn person with bark tattoos up their right side - has allegedly spent the last 30 years attempting to repair the Heart of Nimloth after it was stolen by The Sunscourge. 2B, The Oracle of Metal - Yarmin told you that approximately 1000 years ago, two new Runes spontaneously appeared in The Oracular Codex. One corresponds to Ragnar, The Oracle of Bones, who will not speak of how he became an Oracle. The other is the elemental symbol for metal. The Oracular Codex - massive enchanted wall that makes up the waterfall of Newbiggin. Contains runes representing all of the currently alive gods and Oracles in Valakadyn. Cannot be altered by magic, controlled by the creator gods themselves, allegedly. The Trial of the Stars - A tournament that takes place every 100 years during the new moon of Alecto in order to select the new Celestial Oracles (Sun and Moons). Artifacts of Vaka - the pinnacle of magical items in Valakadyn, only nine of them exist. Created by Vaka herself, each one contains a piece of her raw esssence and evolves as the wielder grows in strength. You've seen two in person: The Crown (with Kaleo) and and Greaves (with Yarmin). The Moons of Valakadyn: The planet has three moons, a white one (Megaera), a red one (Alecto), and a blue one (Tisiphone). The calendar of the world is based on the cycle of Megaera, which completes a cycle every 30 days. Moons and Magic: Alecto has a peculiar effect on magic. As the moon begins waxing full, magic begins to grow more powerful and wild. During the waxing period, the moon's power is at it's maximum, and all spells increase by one level by default (upcast) and wild magic surges become incredibly common. This occurs on a 20 year cycle, as the moon orbits the planet every 100 years. During a full moon, when another of Valakadyn's satelites converge with Alecto, this effect grows exponentially, enabling incredible feats of magic. Theoretically, if all three moons converged, an Oracle (or someone with enough power) could do anything they dreamed of.
