Transportation

Humans

The ability for a human to get around a nonhuman or hub world varies from planet to planet. Due to mechs, a human is able to use any transportation system a nonhuman can, making human focused transportation not always a priority on each planet. Hub planets, however, require infrastructure for every member species, such as the construction of swimways for the amelshen. This is to ensure the economic potential of hub worlds by attracting such a diverse range of species. Humans are no exception.   Underground or raised monorails are the usual human focused transportation system that gets integrated into infrastructure. The most complex ones, such as university campus systems, will go to numerous buildings. City systems, due to how many buildings there are, might go to the more important public buildings, but can't go to all. Instead, they may go to mech garages, which are multi level structures where humans may keep their machines, as many human residential areas cannot support heavy foot traffic from mechs or nonhumans. Another option for humans is the standard shuttling/bussing services a city may offer. Most will be able to handle mech-less human boarding, however this may only be feasible if the shuttle stop is very close to where they need to go. Otherwise, the human will need a nonhuman partner, such as a coworker, to carry them to where they need to go.   Taxiing type services also exist for humans, but due to the prevalence of automated gravway traffic, human sized vehicles will travel with nonhuman traffic, which means this does not require specialized infrastructure beyond the landing pads being built in human areas or in buildings, such as the human's workplace. Some companies also exist that allow humans to pay for a nonhuman to be a sort of temporary guardian, carrying them to places as needed.   Most consistently out of all of this, however, a mech is a human's most reliable form of transport on nonhuman worlds, as it can utilize any regular transportation for nonhumans. Hub worlds might be able to support a mechless human, but in a singularly owned species planet, human infrastructure will likely be too underdeveloped to go completely mechless.
