Valvukur Empire

The empire of Hell on the world itself. This evil empire desired nothing more than to conquer all in the name of Asmodeus. Eventually, it met its downfall after a composite effort of neighboring countries, rebels within, and deities.

Structure

The leader, Hellish Deacon, was appointed by an official of Asmodeus. Lieutenants and sergeants served under him, carrying out their fiendish lord's desires.

Culture

Chains, malice, and restrained rage filled the hearts of the people in power. They propagated submissiveness of "lessers" and ambition of "greaters."
As in Hell, those of lower rank innately pledged fealty to those above. Attempting to rise up the ranks was allowed, but must be announced. To assassinate someone to take their position was a crime punishable by eternal damnation in the lowest level of Hell.

Public Agenda

The Valvukurian Empire sought to spread themselves over the land slowly, and methodically to root deep their vileness. They offered life, but one of total submission.

Assets

The Trillia Hills were once home to the largest coal and iron veins in the continent. The empire set up operations around these, enslaving local dwarves to mine the material.
Timber of the extinct Jade trees, a green hardwood, was used to build the notorious Green Fleet, the vehicles of the empire.
Granite and gneiss quarries in the hilly south brought the materials necessary for buildings and infrastructure. Limestone roads connected every major city in the empire.

Disbandment

The empire was overthrown thanks to a joint effort of deities and surrounding countries. It is said whilst its neighbors and rebels battles in the streets of Valukava, the Dark Eight fought the Army of Justice, a composite army of Pelor, Bahamut and other greater deities. It was in this final battle that a number of demideity and one lesser deity, Shorliko were killed. At the end of the siege, the forces of Good prevailed.
