Tower of MuHagonay Myth in Uto Daeg | World Anvil

Tower of MuHagonay

Perched on a gentle slope between the stark Ironbacks and the thin-limbed Silverwood sits a small hill among the oaks. Four centuries ago this hilltop known as Mûmilop was home to a Chieftain known as Hagonay. Back then Evoria was steeped in feuds and bitter skirmishes, much like the deep valleys and dark lochs of modern Lochish. These tribes, however, were not of one race, but rather a conglomerate group of any race of humanoids. Hagonay was a human, though, through and through. Of all his ilk he enjoyed the battleheat the most and would often throw himself directly into a fray for the joy of the fight. None could stop him except his one weakness.   After some time of conquering, the Hagonay tribe managed to eke out their home on the hill and named it Hagtop. There, the Hagonay built the tower. Hagonay's sharpest minds worked to capture the timelessness they imagined their hold to have by the precision of their cuts and angles. The fruit of their labor, after several years, blossomed into the ripe treasure of the Ironbacks.   There came a time when Hagonay himself grew ill. The Hagonay tribe sought soothsayer, healer, cleric, and priest, but by the time any returned a few days later, Hagonay lie dead in his twilight tower. The tribespeople wept for a month and did not raid or cook or clean but only sat in silence. On the thirty-sixth day, Haegnomay, Hagonay's son, rose up and declared the tribe move, setting behind them traps to guard the Jewel of the Ironbacks, and called it MulHagonay, Hagonay's Rest.
