Mortalists

Defiers of Deities

"There is no such thing as a 'humble' god." — Mortalist founder Shinzar Makajab
The people who wish nothing more than for deities to be ignored or taken down. They believe the gods are self-centered maniacs who operate under the guise of goodness but have no goodness inside them. The detest evilness of all kind as they see evil as being completely counterproductive to mortal longevity.   They see "good" deities as an affront to actual goodness that mortals produce. Deities, after all, tell mortals what to do, how to act and operate. Yes, they may reward their followers, but at the end of it, it's all for the deity, for their power and glory.   According to mortalists, deities use mortals as building blocks without any reverence while demanding the utmost from them. A mortalist proclaims, "Don't you think it odd that deities have almost every single domain of almost every single substance and ideology except humility? It's a trait none of them proclaim or share, and none any worshiper who has devoted themselves to them can claim." This persuasion grabs the listeners ear and more philosophizing ensues.   Due to their disruptive nature, these iconoclasts have been banned from major cities and ordered to disband several times.

Witness the hubris. Dispose of deities.
