Lolth
"The Mother of Puppets spins her web... and steals your agency from you."
Lolth, often referred to as "The Mother of Puppets" or "She Who Spins Her Web", is a minor goddess and Demon Lord who resides in The Underdark. She typically appears as a 20-foot tall spider-woman with the torso and head of a Drow. She controls nearly 100 layers in the Abyss, ranging from Layer 621 through Layer 719 where her underling demonic spiders have entrapped thousands of souls to be tortured for eternity. Before the Second Calamity, Lolth demanded fealty from all Drow; however, as a protective measure, she abandoned this chokehold on them as to maintain her own existence. Although a not-insignificant population of Drow who live in the Underdark continue to worship her to this day, the vast majority of Drow who live on the surface refuse to consider Lolth a legitimate goddess, instead devoting themselves to goddesses like Zisnera or the church of Astrology. Lolth is a master manipulator, and can easily coerce even lesser immortals into doing her bidding without ever physically interacting with them. During The Erlkönig's reign over the Autumn Court, she was able to manipulate him into imprisoning The Lord of the Mountain out of sheer boredom.
