Personal history

Jar'guk Ermendrud was born in CY 1589 as the second child to a pair of Tiefling parents who maintained positions of nobility. He grew up in the wealthiest neighborhood of Port Walcana with his sister Orion Ermendrud, subsisting on the money made from his parents' ownership of the Necludan Adamantine Mines to the northwest of the port city. He and Orion were extensively trained in diplomacy, language, history, and theology throughout their childhoods to prepare them for positions in provincial or national government.   After Orion estranged herself from their parents when Jar'guk turned 18, he desperately wanted to remain in their good graces at whatever cost to himself. Thus, he managed to use their connections to find himself a place in the Watchers force of Athewell (the provincial capital), where he quickly rose through the ranks. By the time his 21st birthday came to fruition, Jar'guk possessed the je nais se quoi to command all of the guards within the city with an iron grip. However, Jar'guk's sudden discovery of power caused him to want more.   Prior to being handpicked to join The Inner Six, Jar'guk stumbled upon an Archfey known as The Erlkönig. Jar'guk, being someone who would always defer to means of power, decided to contract himself to this archfey in return for power as a Warlock. It was during this period when his innate bloodline - that stemming all the way back to the Creator - would manifest itself as Sorcerous power.   Arden Riverfall had been keeping an eye on the Ermendruds for a while, as they were one of the most prominent noble families in Tempora. In the prophecy whispered to him by Torog, Arden was instructed to seek out "a bloodthirsty general of infinite pedigree, scouring the fields of Necluda for those defying thy master's will..." - and he immediately came to seek out the young Watcher.   The public eye was confused by how some Necludan Watcher could inexplicably gain a place as a general in the Temporan military, but any outcry against Jar'guk's sudden ascension to power was quickly silenced. Jar'guk would then join the Inner Six as one of Arden's two major political confidants (along with the nobleman Haemir Soldhom). Jar'guk's primary role was to silence those defiant against Emperor Mordecai Gorecrest and to further enforce the boundary laws put into place after the coup that ended the Riverfall Dynasty  In late 1618, Jar'guk was instructed by both Arden Riverfall and the Erlkönig to obliterate Termina - a large Necludan town known to contain outspoken critics of the Crown. With an incredibly powerful Meteor Swarm, the town was razed from the earth, leaving incredibly few survivors from the incident. Until the Siege of Nord'ial, Jar'guk's major task was to hunt down and kill the only survivor of the incident to speak about their experiences - Alastor Monmouth (which he never did complete).    Jar'guk was slain in Blue Sea Moon of CY 1619 by Faladin Soldhom amidst the Siege of Nord'ial, an event that nearly prefaced a second Temporan Genocide
