Quasi-Elemental Plane of Mud

The Quasi-Elemental Plane of Mud is an overlapping region of the Elemental Plane of Water and Elemental Plane of Earth where they become a viscous, marshy mass of squelchy earth, bogs, and hardy plants. Of the Elemental Chaos, this region is probably the safest for mortal habitation due to its normal atmospheric conditions and (relatively) harmless fauna; however, settling down anywhere for too long can be dangerous due to the semi-fluid nature of the ground.
There is a long-standing scholarly debate about whether to refer to this as the Plane of Mud or Plane of Ooze. The general consensus is to use the term "Mud", as "Ooze" implies the presence of creatures like Gelatinous Cubes or Oblexes, both of which originated on the Secondary Material Plane.
