Polaris

Lawful Evil, Uthilithian conception of winter and decay.   Although Achlýs' name is often invoked as a death deity, Polaris represents the decay of the physical flesh in the time after dying. Of the Court of Seasons, his persona most aligns with that of his respective Feywild court - that of the Winter Court. His most devout followers espouse the philosophy that one day, all will be consumed by the Everfrost - frozen in eternal perpetuity. His patience is legendary, nicknamed "Terminus" in his sacred texts.   Polaris is most often depicted as a gaunt Goliath clad in heavy furs and a fractaling tattoo pattern reminiscent of a snowflake. However, his eyes are dark pits of emptiness.   His sole temple in the mortal realm has been defunct for several hundred years at this point - the Tower of Winter. Few dare to enter anymore, as none have emerged in centuries.   The Polaris Quintet was a famous group of Bards who originated the genre "death metal" in their bagpipe ensemble, back in the early 1600s.
