The Sundering is an extinction level event where the Dan Hara elves of the First Empire are obliterated.
A massive discharge of power from the eight spheres around Gyr causes most of the Dan Hara elves to die in an extinction level event. The reason for the discharge is rumoured to have been caused by a misalignment of the spheres owing the the unbound nature of worship that the Dan Hara engaged in, believing the Logic sphere to be the most important sphere.
