Blood Cult

Blood Cult (a.k.a. The Fever)

The Blood Cult symbolizes Chaos and Indulgence. This is not to say that the cult is unruly or continuously indulgent: a warrior in the middle of battle might embrace the power of the Blood Cult to save his own life, and then, once battle is over, return to following the edicts of the Life Cult. However, and this is the knowing smile of all followers of the Blood Cult, sooner or later, all will return to the cult of blood. Passion is part of every being, and so, no matter how difficult the elves might be about it, the Blood Cult is always going to exist.   The cult follows along very broad interpretations of Chaos and Indulgence. Some, see Chaos to mean that there is always chaos and only when one embraces that belief and accepts it as a truth, will one be able to remove it, or mitigate it from one's life. Indulgence is both a sanction of over indulgence and a warning to those who might over-indulge. In short the Blood Cult is divided between those who would seek to control their blood, and those who would seek to embrace it, and abandon themselves totally to its worship.   The Cult is primarily made up of folk who feel they need a space to express themselves passionately, and more importantly, in however a way they want. This often leads to conflict with other cults, most notably the cult of Logic - who feel everything should have a time and place. Artists, warriors, performers, adventurers, prostitutes and sailors often turn to the Blood Cult for the freedom it allows, and the strength it offers.   Only if one embraces the blood cult can one embrace oneself and know the power within. As a matter of fact that is their prayer or mantra: Embrace thine self to discover thine self.
