Incursion of Laman

In the ancient past, the God of Water, Rutar ruled over the Water Plane. Weakened by a recent war to overthrow the Titans, Rutar's ability to protect his new patron people - the Tritons - was limited. When a threatening force of Evil Elementals emerged in Vilantis, Rutar sought the aid of mortals from the Mortal Plane. <br>
  <br>The mortals were given a pathway to the Water Plane, and fought through a legion of Evil Elementals at the Tritons side. After beating back the threat, a brittle alliance formed, and mortals lived peacefully in Triton cities. <br> <br>Over decades, greed & tribalism splintered the alliance, and the Triton king banished mortals from the city.
