Early Saurian civilizations often conflicted with those of the Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, and Goblins at the dawn of the First Age, and early conflicts hindered their growth worldwide.
In the areas where they were left untouched, Saurian city-states emerged and thrived, mastering the sciences and magic and carving out bastions of safety where those of their kind would find respite.
Though they were belligerents in the First Great War, they were among the first races to suggest an Alliance to resist the Black Doom during the Second Great War and contributed significant manpower and materiel to the war effort.
