Mudgrave

Here the buried remains of a small village poke up as crumbling chimneys amongst the swampy brush. Mostly dead tree poke out at odd angles, some with new sprouts rising from twisted sides of them. With the rising Faivergent river, old river basin and lake bed from 500 years ago have been reclaimed. During a severe storm, flooding broke through a strip of land separating two rivers.  A river diverted to join the Faivergent.  The overflow fell into Deadwater canyon, turning it into a lake. The southern end collapsed in the middle of the night sending a flood of water, mud, and debris racing towards this small village.  The water flooded the village, drowning every soul.  Mudslide filled in the dip in the land here and most signs of the village is hidden. you'd never realize that the dead are lying in beds beneath your feet. slept.
