beyond the white {idiom}

idiom: far away, unreachable, unknowable.   It comes from the southern hemisphere where the broken moon, Wruin, hangs in the sky. Beyond the White for southerners combines the imagery of the white seas and the white crumbling moon in the sky.  Pieces of the white moon, dusty and sparkling, slowly drift down to float in the Sea of Tears.  The southern seas have heavy currents and white cresting waves in between the seasonal icebergs. The nearby Fuurrayn and White Seas have similar dangerous currents making voyages through the regionS precarious for the unprepared. Well-trained crews and boats designed for the fast cold currents can travel across the world quickly. But most ships will not go into the white currents for fear of being lost to whatever is beyond them.
