Purpose / Function
The Shadow Investigations Unit collects samples of everything that it can from the Shadow Realm. Everything that it collects is housed here, in this basement storage facility.

Alterations
On March 1, 2147 all living creatures being held in Shadow Containment were released. After that time, the area was renovated so that it no longer had the capacity to detain living creatures. It was converted to be a place for the storing of magical items, unidentified plants and dead creatures. These specimens are studied carefully to learn as much as possible about the Shadow Kind, the Rifts and the Shadow Realm.
Tourism
The area has been opened to the public, taking on a musem like nature in the manner that it displays the items that have been deemed safe for viewing. Those items that are not yet considered safe or remain unidentified are kept in secure areas that can only be accessed by those within the Shadow Board and The Research Department or who otherwise have clearance through Draco Industries.
