Session 51: Evading Fire
General Summary
Diana and Avitus go into the portal. Seardon decides to return to the Goblin Nook to assist his new Side Kick. He feels certain that the other 3 can handle this situation without him. Ricky is nervous about going into a portal without a clear way to return and he hesitates at the portal for a few minutes before he joins the others by going through the portal.
The flaming skulls in the entry hall are defeated. They made Diana paranoid about the skulls remaining in the nooks. They move into the next area where they find a lava pit with mephits swimming in it like a public bathing area. They are unable to convince the Mephits that they can pass so they are attacked and the Mephits summon up their boss which is a pit fiend. These enemies are defeated, but there is much fire breathing and Avitus is not impressed by this which causes him go into an angry rampage looking for other enemies. Smog delights and reveals in Avitus's ability to smite his enemies. Avitus makes quick work of the Salamanders and fire snakes. The team find the smithy where there are Azers working who attack the team when they are unable to speak with them. Avitus, however, is able to quickly dispatch them. They search the next area which is the Azer barracks where they find items they choose to keep.
Ricky enters the portal and finds the others. He joins them as they continue to move through the cave. Avitus dumps out one of the cups of ash he finds in the contemplation cells and this summons an angry salamander who attacks them. After a challenging battle, the salamander is defeated and flees. Going into the final area of the cave, they find Cinder Tongue who is not eager to fight them. They make an agreement to leave and have the portal closed. They message Tailha regarding what they have found and report that the trees should now be safe. They collect their reward then return home. They are celebrated by the Kobolds after Smog relates the story of the slaying of the Pit Fiend. Great stories are being told amongst the Kobolds.

Ricky spent time carousing with the Mushrooms and made three allied contacts.

VISITING DAHISH
Team 8 visits the gnomes. They spend time eating and being social. Spend a few hours there before going to the mushroom village.VISITING WHITE CAP VILLAGE
