35a. Light the Sun

When the door to the south is touched, it crumbles to sand.

Thousands of pebbles are suspended in the air for the length of the hallway before you. There is a small group of them near the door with a yellow diamond at the center. Clustered around this yellow diamond there are10 other stones: Labradorite, White Quartz, Sodalite, moonstone, Mahogany Obsidian, Tiger's Eye, Yellow Calcite, Amazonite, Blue cat's Eye, and Poppy Jasper. There is a plaque on the wall.

There is a wall of force keeping the players from moving forward. The plaque reads:

Go beyond this hall, the sky is the limit. Let the light of the sun guide you.

Solution

The players need to light up the sun (the yellow diamond). They can do this by casting a light spell on it or by using a mundane light source to cast light through it. Once they have done this the wall of force drops and the stones fall to the floor. The solar system can be collected and are valued as follows:

If they solved the puzzle, they will receive one point with the Eladrin. Keep track of the party's score as they go along. At the completion of each challenge, their score will be announced by the ringing of a bell for each point they have earned.
