Warmshade

Warmshade was the capital of the Awinwald Republic, which was founded by early settlers to the Breathing Wastes, as well as some of the handful whose ancestors never left the region. The Republic was temporarily subjugated by the Order of Ash in a largely bloodless occupation. However, there was significant animosity between the Awinwalders and Havenfort, and resistance movements were formed in an effort to seek independence once more. Ultimately, the Awinwald regained its independence in 852 during the Legion of the Dead's invasion of the Breathing Wastes.
