The Wild

The Wild for which the Feywild is named comprises the vast majority of the Plane of Faerie. It is populated by countless fey beings, most of which are undocumented by mortalkind, who are loosely controlled by the Archfey known as the Wild King. Most of these beings would be considered evil by mortals, though nearly all of them lack the ability to comprehend morality. The Wild King does little ruling, instead seemingly preferring to spend time on long and violent hunts within his domain. Creatures from the Wild are contained within Faerie by the Border Lord, while many Wild Fey are pressed into service by the Summer and Winter Courts when the need arises. According to Teghneist teaching, the Fey Wild is the corrupted remnant of what the Plane of Faerie was supposed to be, before the actions of the First Demons, hence why the terms Feywild and Plane of Faerie are often used interchangeably.
