The Last Legion

The Last Legion is a goblinoid warband that presently inhabits the west of Old Finorr, and parts of the Livingisles Expanse. A year before the Ciprosian conquest of the Kingdom of the Sun in 841, a large number of Hobgoblins, Bugbears, and Goblins coordinated to seize control of dozens of merchant and naval ships across Dromundia, following a mysterious Hobgoblin prophet, who spoke of the coming invasion. They fled to New Ostrum, but for unknown reasons soon left the island. The goblinoid fleet then sailed into the Livingisles Expanse at the behest of the prophet, and began assaulting and taking control of many of the Livingisles.
The goblinoids island-hopped their way to western Dukhala, leaving garisson forces at each island they took. Once they landed in Old Finorr, a brief conflict broke out between them and the Dwarves of Bierg-Finsel, in which the goblinoids were victorious. The Last Legion was proclaimed by the goblinoid leadership following the treaty with the Dwarves, and it claims to be the successor of the Kingdom of the Sun. In the years following their arrival in Dukhala many groups of Goblins and Bugbears, as well as some Hobgoblins, have broken off from the Last Legion, and spread throughout the continent.
