Court of Golden Needles

Ancestral home of the Royal Family of Giltbough, built against the trunk of the First Tree itself. One of the oldest buildings in Giltbough, it is mostly constructed from grandfather wood harvested before the Church of the Trees placed felling limits on their sacred trees. It is unknown who originally designed the Court, however it is rumored that Elisabet IV's far ancestors were the first inhabitants.

Hosts one of the largest collections of art made with products harvested from grandfather trees in the world including carvings made from fallen branches of the First Tree. With many guest rooms as well as private an public meeting areas, the Court is always a hotbed of activity within the city. From musical performances to book clubs in the vast royal library to hosting lavish feasts on holidays and special occasions, people come from all corners of the reaches to see the First Tree and the beautiful, golden palace built in its shadow.
