Mr. Carden Draegon (a.k.a. Timbers)

A once proud member of the Goliath tribes of the mountains of creation, the Adonis' boatswain is a terribly intimidating sight upon first glance, but he is, in the truest sense, a gentle giant who has a compulsory need to fix broken things. He has kept the ship in sailing order far longer than she has been due, and through conditions in which a ship had no right to keep sailing. Such is his skill with hammer and nail.

Personal history

Mr. Timbers' real name is Carden Dreagon...but no one actually calls him that. No one is quite sure who started calling him Timbers, but in the six months since he signed on with the crew of the Adonis it has caught hold as firm as that Kraken got hold of his predecessor and doesn't seem like it'll be letting go any time soon. Little and less is known about his life prior to joining with the crew, but his talent for keeping the ship afloat when it shouldn't has proven sufficient reason for everyone to wanna keep him around.
Like most Goliaths, Mr. Timbers is tall...and I mean tall. He comes in at around 300lbs and just under 8 feet in height. In point of fact, he spends as much time as he can in the hold because its the only place below decks that has a high enough deckhead for him to stand upright in. He almost never wears a shirt and his gray-white skin is covered in deep black tribal tattoos. He is almost never seen without Luna, his light hammer.
I mean, I hate to just keep saying that the crew members are good at what they do, but in a very real sense Ixtab only commissions the best of the best, and Mr. Timbers is no exception. His skills in carpentry go above and beyond the board when it comes to keeping the skip afloat. And there have been times when the Adonis has been dashing by storms or attacked by sea beast and was well within its rights to sink, and Mr. Timbers has kept it afloat. He also is uh...just as adept at destroying things as he is at putting them back together.
One will know that Mr. Timbers is nearby as, for reason's no one has been able to figure out, he drags Luna around wherever he goes. Its a strange mannerism, but one that everyone has gotten used to. Like most Goliaths he is pretty reclusive and not very talkative, and when he does talk to someone he says literally as little as possible. He also has a tendency to refer to himself in the third person, while this is not because of a lack of intelligence it is more a language barrier.
By way of beliefs and ideals, Mr. Timbers only cares about fixing things that are broke...especially if he was the one that broke them. That said he knows his limits, and wont try to fix something he knows he doesn't have the skills required to fix. By way of bonds, he has become very fond of the Adonis, and will put repairing her over everything including taking care of himself if injured.
