The stolen egg

In ancient times, before the gods left us, on the island of Sardia was a giant dragon nest with fifteen eggs. These eggs belonged to Draco and Sardia who cared deeply for them, and the other dragon's paid tribute. But one dragon, Metis, looked on with jealously as it was these eggs and not his that would birth the protectors of this world. This dragon hatched a plan to steal these eggs and leave them on in the void. When Draco and Sardia went hunting he set his plan into motion but the first egg he picked up was an off-white one that entranced him with its beauty. He was so entranced that he didn't notice Draco coming back, as the fight ensued the egg was lost, thought destroyed. as Metis fled laughing Sadia attacked as a woman possessed, ripping off half of Metis's wings and banishing him to a prison realm.   The egg in question belonged to Raelgil Sepa and had in fact been transported to a strange place where lost things are found. He was gifted to a young Saberfang by its rat-women caretaker and eventually, after many thousand years, found his way back Undinia and took his place among his siblings.

Historical Basis

The Strange fact is that while the other greatwyrms call Draco their father Raelgil Sepa called Saberfang his.
