The Inqusition

Founded by Grylls Bear in 221 Chroma to protect the innocent from monsters. Spreading throughout the world, by 300 Chroma they had established an outpost in every major settlement.   The Order is split into two parts, The blood hunters go out taking on contracts and killing monsters while the Monastic sages study and catalog the world around them and offer support to the hunters.   Young teens sign up to train in the ways of combat till 18 years old when they get their first multiagent. Once they travel with a senior hunter and do a few missions they choose the school they travel to and complete their training.   -Ghosthunters: Based in the blessed plains, Ghost hunters often train alongside paladins and learn to harness divine energy. These also make up the most respected inquisitors, though most end up in Frostmourn fighting the undead.   -Lycan: Often training with Shifter tribes in the north, often being turned into ware beasts they struggle often struggle with this more bestial nature. Older Lycan hunters often disappear into the north.   -Mutant: Based in the Rivell Kingdom, the Mutant school makes use of the royal alchemist school in the capital city. students often train both at the inquisitor and alchemist school. The effects of these potions often lead to the early death of the inquisitor as their body struggles with the toxins.   -Profane soul: No official school has existed for this group as deals with otherworldly beings are often outside the influence of the Inquisition as a whole. The most feared group, they often end up dabbling in dark magic. This group temporarily disappeared during the fey age.   During the Crisis of the Fey age, the Inquisition was one of the first groups to 'go to war'. The majority of the Ghosthunters fought and died in the protection of the Kingdom of Arpad, leading to the flooding of Frostmourn by all the other inquisitors. As the death toll mounted however the situation became untenable, an issue increasing from the lack of new recruits from the start of the second-century Fey. This meant by 122 Fey the Inquisition only numbered in their tens, with all senior members having died in battle. This led to the dissolution of the group as a whole, however, surviving members would continue their skills, with the sages offering advice to those fighting monsters.
