Sorrol
A network of warrens, caverns, and tunnels within a group of hills, Sorrol was once a haven for goblinoids and other smaller folk. Founded in 150 Rebel as the Shadow Republic was expanding into the Silent Lake area. Fed up with being treated as lower-class citizens, five clans of goblins left their various cities to find a home of their own. Stumbling across a group of five hills on the coast of the silent lake, each clan took a hill as their own and started building a home.
As time went on other clans joined and the small group of warrens turned into a vast underground network. Connecting underground caverns to the various warrens by a complex network of tunnels. While this 'undercity' was in the Shadow Republic's territory, it refused to be claimed by the republic, connecting more with the under-empire of the Dwarfs, and even setting up an underground port to trade with Naga and Arrn Raver.
With the collapse of the republic, Sorrol's position and special trade access led to a small trade post being built above ground. Though this only consisted of a market and rest house, larger races were forbidden from permanently settling in the area. This however brought Underempire goods to the South.
During the Crisis of the Fey age, Sorrol retreated into its warrens, trusting in the fact they were underground to weather any storm. This led to disaster when a demonic army broke into the tunnels, leading to a massacre and the warrens being set alight.
