Ring of Change
An ancient ring that became the signet ring of the family of changelings from The White City. The exact history of the ring before the Crisis of the Fey age isn't known, the fact the ring remained marked as dormant in the Codex of Artifacts throughout the era of ages indicates its wielders didn't have full use of its power. The ring was found to be connected to The Sage's secret lab, where it connected its fall to the Crisis of the Fey Age to pass crucial magic to Grunkle's Angels.
The ring is a blue gold band with two pearl half faces on the top of the mask. The white pearl is smiling while the black pearl is sad. Between these faces is a jacinth with diamonds on either side. It should be noted the original ring was said to be white gold but changed color after Grunkle's Angels went into The Black Ziggurat.
History
very little is known of the ring's history. What is known is the Sage created the ring in the forgotten era as a spell focus. During the calamity that ended that era, he passed the ring to a faithful changeling who presumably passed it down to his descendants, seemingly disappearing. The ring reappeared in Drake Vil during the slave revolts, in the hands of a changeling cleric pretending to be a green Draconic. He preached rebellion and swayed many to his side before he was discovered. Though thought not to have the full power of the ring, it was believed his actions had caused a slight stirring in the ring, referenced by the fact that the keepers of the Codex of Artifacts knew it had moved to the White City by the middle of the Rebel Age. It would have disappeared after, though a jeweler claimed a ring matching its description went through his shop in the early Divine age to be re-cased, though he built on top of the ring, not wanting to damage the craftsmanship below.Lokz
Lokz stole his grandfather's ring from his Father when he ran from home. Never quite able to part with it, it became part of his identity. Though the ring stayed 'unremarkable' during Lokz's time with the thieves of the White City, it seemed to start to wake up shortly after he was forced to leave, indicating it's pressance in the codex. Now awake the ring kept trying to pull him to the Sage's lab, though he would eventually go. It seemed to completely awaken, breaking off the additions from other craftsmen and fusing with his pact ring within the black Ziggurat.
