Mutation laboratory

Just south of the farmland for Shadow's port stands a single mausoleum. This marks the entrance to a hastily built underground laboratory in 70 Dragon in response to multiple defeats. It was a final solution to deal with the several armies converging on the area and had a single purpose, to produce an army to overwhelm the shifter and Orc forces coming from the north. An army that never joined the war.

Once passed the door a set of stairs led down to an observation floor with a large window overlooks the lab. One room off this central room leads to a mess hall, with storerooms and barracks off of that. The other side holds the facilities overseer's quarters and office. To the side of the observation deck behind what was once a heavy door is a staircase leading to a large chamber full of broken test tubes.

Purpose

The sole, unholy purpose of this facility was to turn all remailing slaves, undesirables, prisoners, and criminals of the Phervians into a mindless army. Mutating their body into living weapons, Shriekers.

In 73 Rebel when Zigarith was attacked, This army never showed up, and upon looking into it, an expedition from the Shadow Republic found the door sealed from the inside. The secrets were lost until the door was opened by farmers in 122 fey, unleashing a nightmare upon the area. A group of adventures would deal with the threat and discover the truth.   The experiments had been a massive success, too successful and the new army wasn't controllable. The overseer sealed the door before locking himself in his office, recording the disaster in case he was ever found.
Death awaits all those who oppose us

Shrieker

These abominations were slightly shorter than their original height, their skin is a greyish lilac with a cracked, dry appearance. Their lips have peeled off revealing sharp fangs. Hard metal-like spikes replace their nails with others piercing out their body. While not strong on their own, they work as a pack and each seems to ignore everything in mindless aggression.
