Crowharrow

The small town on the southern shore of the silent lake was once famed for its magical artifacts. The town is centered around a mage's tower that was once said to belong to an Phervian archmage. Surrounding that were the market and workshops that made and sold magical artifacts and enchantments of all types. The town proper was built around this with a large dock on the silent lake. After the magical chaos caused at the start of the fey age, the town fell on hard times becoming the backwater of the city-states.

History

Phervian tower

The tower was thought to be originally built so the Phervian could keep an eye on the lush farmland between the Silent Lake, Gem Sea, and the Ered Mithrin, though this turned out to be false with the tower being from the forgotten era. The Phervian fort however consisted of a tower, a small fort with multiple granaries, and a small dock. During the Slave revolts, this became the last true holdout against the Shadow Republic. Eventually, Wralin's apprentice lead a magically protected force against it, razing the fort to the ground and killing those within. The mage took the tower as his own.

Void tower

Void tower, as it was known, became a prominent research post in the shadow republic, the tower, and town that started to grow around it studied the magical anomalies that started to show up in the shadow plains. Including finding increased uses for Void stone. As the Shadow Republic collapsed and its cities changed to independent states Void tower shifted to magical services and objects to make money.

Crowharrow

A powerful Dark Elf necromancer that specialized in dark objects took over the tower. His silhouette was said to look like a bird earning him the nickname Crow, changing the town's name to Crow's Harrow or Crowharrow after he blighted the land around the tower to increase the magical flow there. Even after he disappeared, the name stuck. Now, heavily focused on magic, the wonderous brazer was set up on the now-dead land around the tower.

Imperial base

During the southern crusades of the Empire of Akoom, Crowharrow stalled the advancement with the sheer power of magic, Despite its lack of walls. Eventually, Prophet Buramog marched south to protect his men. Taking the tower from the mages in a bloody battle, the tower was set up as the empire's base of operations in the south, though every Fylkir that took up residence there died tragically. The city gained a reputation and was abandoned by the empire shortly after The White City seceded.

Free city and centre of magic

Gaining its independence, Crowharrow continued business as normal, though paladins gave the city a wide birth. Becoming world famous for its enchanting, everything from adventures to royalty came to acquire magical help. This led to fortune tellers, healers, and other magic services. This period of prosperity lasted through to the start of the Fey age.

Crisis of the Fey age

At the start of the Fey age, the tower exploded along with multiple stalls and workshops, reigning fire down on the center of the city. The fires still burn in a ring around the ruined tower, the multi-colored flames creating a strange glow about the town. With both this and the town's main source of income gone, many survivors left, by a hundred Fey, Crowhoarrow was little more than a ghost town, with only a few stubborn people living there.   On 6 Kasdiel the seals within the tower finally broke, causing the tear to the lower planes finally fully open and unless it's horde. An hour later the city was a ruin, it's streets red with blood.
The Crow blights the land, and still, they come
The crow wraps flesh and mind, and still, they come
The Crow digs mass graves, and still, they come
The Crow harrows everyone single one of them,
And still, the Paladins come to die
