Aligioni's Room
Raga kicked a bucket and his heart jumped in his chest wondering if Aligioni hear him. Just when he thought she didn't Aligioni walked out of her room looking around before her eyes fell on him. "What are you doing up, did you have a nightmare?" Ali asked walking over to him and blocking the only path to the stairs. "Well, no. It a dream about my Mom," Raga answered. Ali smiled, "That sounds nice. You can tell me about it in the morning." Raga tried to protest but she waved her hands at him to turn around and Raga soon found himself in the door frame of the guess with Aligoini still blocking the way saying, "now off to bed. We will leave for De tomorrow."Aligioni's room is where she does some of her work as a florist and where sleeps, because she works mostly outside or at the local cafe she can rarely be found here.
Purpose / Function
As a bedroom, this room is mainly used for sleeping since the owner spends most of her time outside. There is a table where Aligioni does flower arrangements for some clients and she has a few plants growing throughout the room. When she is not sleeping or working on flower arrangements she is practicing practical magic.
Entries
There is a door from the hallway that leads into Ali's room and a window that can be accessed by climbing the house to the second story. Ali usually keeps the window shut and locked for that reason. There is a magical ward on the window to make sure no one comes through it.
Sensory & Appearance
With all of the flowers in the room, it smells nice and appears beautiful with all of the colors. Light comes in through the window and dances on the flowers and furniture of the room during the day. At night electric lights are used which is not brilliant as the light that comes from outside.
Denizens
Since this is Aligioni's room she can be found here at times although not often because she isn't home all of the time.
Contents & Furnishings
There is a bed that is simple and wooden with an old mattress and an earthy green bedspread. By the window is a table where Aligioni does her flower arrangements for clients which are covered in clippings, flowers, vases, and ribbons. A wooden wardrobe is in the corner with plants sitting on top of it where all of her clothes and shoes are in or near. A woven rug is on the floor and that ties into the room.
Valuables
Although not valuable to everyone the flowers that make up the completed and partly completed flower arrangements are very valuable to Ali since she makes a living by selling them and working at the cafe. There is some Ebony in the drawers that she is saving but not much.
Hazards & Traps
The ward on the window pushes people trying to enter the room into the pond below.
Alterations
The room has changed a lot from when Aligoini was a child to the adult she is now. However, the theme of flowers and plants stayed the same. One of the biggest changes is that there are fewer pictures and drawings of flowers and more plants inside her room. Toys from childhood have been replaced with decorations, books, and hobbies. The bedspread has changed from being childish to simple to contrast with the chaos of the room.
Architecture
The room has a rustic feel to it made mostly of wood. There is a window that looks out onto the Refugee Garden.
