In the Tower
Throughout the entire time working our way up the liches dungeon and tower, we are watched by a large silver cube, visible only to true sight. It was the lich watching us through scrying, very obviously.
At various points we met vampire kobolds(?) and had to battle four boss creatures to move past a catacomb regions.
Ascending to the courtyard area of the tower revealed a ring of buildings surrounding the central tower. There was a library, a music hall, a mausoleum, a greenhouse, a tavern, and a restaurant. Each had a puzzle to solve. In the library, the party freed a copper dragon named Corvath that had been enslaved by magic. He revealed that this was a portion of Regaclith that existed before the city fell from the sky.
Eventually the party solved all the riddles and entered the tower, ascending floors, solving more puzzles and seeing large amounts of undead marching into the material plane.
On the fourth floor they meet a group of five hags. The hags agree to let the party pass if each person gives them five things- to the first one something of wealth, the second of power, the third something personal, the fourth something of mind, and the fifth some pleasure of the flesh- either a body part or something else. After huddling in the elevator and much discussion and rooting through hoarded supplies, the party starts to one by one walk in and offer their bargains, often losing more than they originally intended to the one who wanted something personal and the one who wanted some pleasure of the flesh- i.e. we’re pretty sure Malphaia accidentally brought down a curse on her entire bloodline when she tried to bargain away some of her blood, and ████ lost his, ah, “prowess.” Larkspur entered and struck a different deal, getting back everything that the party had lost.
When they walked back out party was concerned, and ████ who had suffered from a bad deal offered emotional support, while Lux promised to help Larkspur take care of whatever it was if they ever needed. Larkspur thanked them both, and did not reveal the bargain they had struck.
The elevator door opened and they charged down the hallway to the throne room of Frank the Three-Headed Lich. The three-headed six-armed entity sat in a throne, while a massive silver dragon was on the verge of death from some sort of black rot in an adjacent chamber. In front of the lich was a massive (10 ft) platinum sword with platinum bracers attached to it embedded upright in the ground. On two of the lich’s wrists were silver bracelets.
Larkspur tried to use the telekinesis ring to wrest the sword from the lich and managed it-- and promptly got muted by the sword. Then the lich stole it back and goes invisible. Larkspur, still silenced, chucked an inkwell at him to alert the rest of the party to his location. The battle map shifted as a stone wall plummeted down, bisecting the battlefield, and statues of snakes came to life. Lux went down, while Larkspur wiggled around the wall using a teleporting stone and the magic users rip down the wall. Lux comes to as a massive elder shadow dragon.
Silatheron enters the fray, enchanted to serve the lich. Lux chucked Larkspur at Frank, accidentally hurling them through a portal behind the throne. Larkspur flew back through using their boots of zephyr, and got ████ to teleport them to Silatheron. Larkspur then uses a Mind Blank scroll to free Silatheron who goes unconscious. The fight continued until Argent killed Frank the Three-Headed Lich with a Ray of Frost. Silatheron woke as Bahamut ripped the liches tower into the material plane, and shoved Regaclith into the Shadowfell, binding the chaos god, and turning them both to stone.
Lux went unconscious, and the body of Wigglesme-Tigglesme appeared. Larkspur cut off his head, his limbs and had the body burned.
