Personal history
Elf lady who was temporarily in possession of the Staff of Sacrifice. When it vanished from her possession, she promptly devoted the rest of her academic career to researching it, and the cult(s) around it. Wrote several papers on it. Died several decades before the party formed.
Edit: Further research at the Regaclith University revealed that she used to teach there, but most records of her have been erased. However, she was buried in the catacombs beneath the University. On the one scrap of paper that the library still has on her there is the scribbled note in another hand that “the bag doesn’t like the eye”.
Edit: While doing her research into the cults, Gwendolyn pried open the book titled “The Forever Woods: Blu’s Very Bad Day” and became trapped in the magical world therein. She spent the rest of her days there, unable to escape without possibly destroying the world and its inhabitants. Her corpse was discovered locked in her study in her mansion there, and returned to its tomb by the party Was once in love with a halfing man who grew old and died.
