Cacti Soup

Observation Log of KLO Mimi Lakes: Cacti Soup

Willmonth the 9th, Year 53 of the Century of the Nymphs, 26th Cycle
I slithered and slid and went to the where I could smell something.
  I was so hungry
  So lethargic
  I couldn't run, just trickle
I made my way through the cracks of a number of closed off cave sections.
The closer I got to the smell, the more spaces there were to trickle through.
Then I trickled through people. Up a table and into a pot.
I was half in the pot.
It wasn't finished cooking yet, but I was so hungry.
It was really good though. A massive cauldron of it.
I could even go back to my human form by the time I'd almost finished the pot.
  *THWACK*
"Who goes stealing my food?" Some old lady yelled.
"Stealing food?" three other people yelled as I drank up the last of the soup with my arm water.
I stood and turned to them all as cacti spikes all shot at me. One was even poisoned! Yum!
"Can I keep these?" I asked. "Also, it's not so hot here, yay!"
And then there was some kind of a conversation but I don't really remember heaps cause they were all speaking at once.
But I remember THE CACTUS - do you remember the cactus I asked Magenta if she moved and she thought is KLO-sky and it actually wasn't cause it was here - she was here- IT WAS A DRYAD. A cactus Dryad! So cool! She was pretty cute too, even though she's a bit mean...
But anyways, she came up and yelled, "it's you! A Turien!"
I tilted my head, "Yeah?" And by this stage I could start smelling other soups around. Oooh, they were all made from the Cactus and its pretty good, but yummy.
One was just starting and they were grinding some of the cacti flesh up. Another was halfway and it was the most poison filled soup. ANother was similar in soup, but was made from the water not poison one and there were some Humany Humans there.
A lot of people smelt weird.
I also got more stabs from poison needles. I'm gonna make a necklace from them. Except I was made to swear that I would only say they were from normal cacti and not Dryad's. Except if I talk to Hoen (cause she will hear from Reagan anyways).
Which brings me to the bread.
They have weird bread. But it goes really well with the soup.
And that's where I found Reagan.
Well, actually, I got pushed into the tent by the cute cactus lady and as told not to say or do anything. They gave me a magic bracelet and I only took it on account of being able to eat the food Reagan was eating.
Well, I didn't know it was him yet. Only after we talked for a few hours did he mention JHoen and then I talked about our tea parties and how she's mad at Reagan and then he asked why was she mad at him and I asked if he was Reagan and he said yes and then I introduced myself and asked if he knew how to make Hoens tea.
  He doesn't.
  I said he should learn.
or make a cacti tea and then we went off to try and find someone to teach us to make tea.
Cute cacti lady was upset cause the bracelets didn't work but that was only because Reagan had disabled heaps earlier cause they were based on some Artifacts from the Badlands that Reagan had looked at a while ago. Then we talked about my brooch and he's going to have a look at it with ABs at some point - if Elder Jazzach will allow it. I need to talk to AB and tell him everything and get some more MerBubble tips. Although maybe I don't have to go to the desert again. Except I think Sari (that's the cute cacti lady's name) is fun to tease. I think we'll be friends.
Anyways there were so many tents there! And they had a roof in the sky but was covered by cacti juices. Maybe that's why Magenta saw some magic, cause it came from the roots of a few different cacti.
So we asked Sari about the tea and she made a funny face. But seeing that we were on a roll, she led us to a tent that had cacti tea. She kept her funny face the whole time. It makes her already cute face with the short black hair even cuter!
We were given tea, but not the recipe. Sari did say we could have the ingredients and to figure it out ourselves if we went back to the tent though. So we did.
I extracted the poison from part of it and made a poison concentrate version. I think Hoen will love it! Reagan agreed that Hoen will love it, but prefers the non-poison version. Welp, more poison for me.
Apparently, they had the elders in a meeting about me. They've had a few about Reagan, cause he's been there for a few months, but he's been pretty pleasant, apparently. He has research to do, so I guess that's why. But they wanted to know what to do with me. I said to feed me. After that, they said. I need to take Reagan back, I said. Sari nodded, she's been giving them updates apparently.
Oh yeah? Who said Cactus Dryads don't exist! Wait, did I say that? Well, they still don't in the Great Forest. But my Dryad friends never told me about them! Ah but apparently they don't really go outside of the Great Forest, unless they are Traders or Diplomats, and the Desert isn't really a place they often go to.
Except for a few centuries ago when a Trader Dryad went to trade with the King of the Desert (A Snake-kin family) and then they stumbles across some people from other Realms and then they had a family and now they travel the wastelands hidden from the rest of society. Ah, that's how Dryads were made.
Someone suggested that Reagan and my memories be wiped - that's a magic in Turien, even if it's Forbidden to people of Turien, cause there are other Realms blood mixed maybe they could do it ... I said that it wouldn't work on me cause of mt Mermaid and other secret stuff background. And maybe I told a few Naiad stories. But they were almost true. In a story sense. I got a little carried away, especially as I was injected with a new poison. That was kinda exciting for a minute. But it wore off pretty quick. Regan fell asleep though. Apparently he'd been having a lot of naps recently. But really wanted to go to the Badlands to find an Artifact he had heard about there. So he was chilling with them until they made their way over there. Another month or so, until they got there.
I also told them that I was good at keeping super secrets. I even have things no one here knew and I wasn't gonna tell anyone of this.
Two of them kept asking me questions and stories and a third fed me all sorts of strange things. There was a lot of Cactus soup. It was real yummy! I got to tell so many stories too! Ah ~ my Naiad roots are happy. I even grew a bunch of flowers I haven't for a while without thinking about it. The others went off somewhere else.
And then I felt something weird. Kinda like the experiments Magenta made me do. And a few people got restless and then other were running around.
Reagan was in a heated discussion with a shard from an old artifact so I don't think he noticed anything.
Then Magenta came down from the sky. Sari started freaking out, so I took her and swung us both over to Magenta - I blasted like a water fountain! Magenta is gonna do some more experiments with me later.
KLO-toon was running behind Magenta and the elders of the people here came up behind me. S&R team 2 and Magenta were taken into the tent with Reagan. Sari was huffing at me, but I went back to the tent.
Then, KLO-toon heard the rest so ask him. I shared tea with Magenta though. She preferred the non-poisoned one. Same with the soup.

KLO-toon: I hope Sari will be fine. I also don't know how you think you'll be friends from that...?
