The High Temple of Pelor

On the second-largest island of Tûran, Gobban, stands The High Temple of Pelor in all its glory.
Its Rangers and Paladins are the security force of the island, but its Clerics are usually to be found in the temple. Their main objective is to help and heal people. All people. Whether you are a commoner or a pirate, the temple is neutral ground and those who are sick are free from prosecution once they set foot on Gobban. Once they leave, they are free-range again. That is why The King's Elite usually have ships around Gobban to try and catch those trying to reach or leave Gobban harbor.

The Temple was built over 200 years ago by Pelor's Chosen and is a testament to the God and his holy followers. In the middle of the courtyard stands a massive white marble Pelor statue. Besides simple living quarters for the followers that live in the temple, most of the complex is dedicated to helping people. Besides a hospital wing for those with physical problems, there is also a separate wing for those with mental issues, a floor to help those who near the end of their life, and a department for maternity services and births.
As said before: all are welcomed and treated here, from a simple farmer to a crooked politician, to a murdering pirate. Gobban's status of neutrality was hard-won and took years of negotiations and diplomatic tightrope walking with the Royal House of Crovan who see it as their mission to rid Tûran of all evil, forgetting that the world is sometimes grey instead of black and white.
Elder Fenrel, a fierce Half-Elven Paladin, is in charge of the temple at the moment. Her greatest challenge is keeping the peace between Gobban and the Royal House while trying to help as many sick people as possible to get to the island.
Father Hillbrewer, a stocky Dwarf Cleric, is her second-in-command. He unwaveringly believes in their mission.
